I’m Dr. Carla Turner, affectionately known as Doc T — an educator, storyteller, and childcare center owner with over 23 years of experience nurturing young hearts and minds. From infants to early elementary learners, I’ve spent decades helping children grow not just academically, but emotionally.
In my Learning Lab, I blend imagination with intention — turning everyday emotions into teachable, magical moments. I don’t just write books — I build bridges between children and their big feelings. Whether it’s through a brave morning story or a comforting affirmation, I help little learners feel seen, safe, and supported.

At Doc T’s Learning Lab, our mission is to equip children ages 3–6 with the emotional tools they need to thrive — both inside and outside the classroom. Through imaginative storytelling, hands-on learning tools, and heart-centered guidance, we aim to:
